Potsdamer Platz

Potsdamer Platz is one of the most famous squares in Berlin. Its an important public square. It began with an old trading post with several roads that came together at one point outside Berlin's old custom walls. In the 1920s and 1930s it was the busiest traffic center in all of Europe and it was the heart of Berlin's nightlife. At that time it was known all over the world. In WW2 were the buildings at Potsdamer Platz almost completely destroyed. In 1990s Potsdamer Platz got some attention and became one of the most exciting building sites of Europe. Now its a lively beautiful square in Berlin!
